Hi ,
We are planning to upgrade JAVA vesrion from (1.6.0_21) to JAVA 7 (1.7) in one of our SAS application server on x86_64 GNU/Linux
What all are things we need to make sure ?? Like install/upgrade process,any impact..etc ., ?
Current JAVA details:
java.vendor = Sun Microsystems Inc.
java.version = 1.6.0_21
java.vm.name = Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM
java.vm.specification.version = 1.0
java.vm.version = 17.0-b16
Our SAS Version is: SAS9.3 M2.
First, please ensure that the version of Java is in the supported versions list:
https://support.sas.com/resources/thirdpartysupport/v93/jres.html
http://support.sas.com/resources/thirdpartysupport/v93/
Then, if the version is according to the list, please follow the great guidelines at: http://support.sas.com/kb/49/296.html
A quick search on support.sas.com or even google with "SAS update java" would have saved you some waiting time 😉
thanks
