I don't have anything to contribute yet, but I am curious to hear about feed-back from the community after patches were installed.

 

What is the impact you noticed, if any? SAS is quite I/O heavy, so I'd expect a visible impact. Please share your experiences here.

Hi Christian. I have run with the KPRI patch applied on my laptop since the announcement and for me Ive not noticed any impact. It will depend on your workload as to how you are impacted. Brendan Gregg, the guy who litterally wrote the book on performance, just posted an amazing blog article. He does a great job of breaking this all down. I enjoyed the read, you might also.

I find a scale that goes beyond a 100% loss rate very awkward.
