Hi to all

can any one tell me where I may setting log level (error, warn, info, etc..) for scheduled flows

The sas version is 4.2 and the data integration flows are scheduled with LSF Platform Manager.

Please, can any one tell me where is the log configuration file? it's on server machine or client machine? and in which directory?

Now, the log is configured only for show ERROR messages but i want configure it for show DEBUG detailed messages.

Where and How I to do this?

thanks in advance!

@vinpres i moved the topic to Admin&Deploy, hoping that somebody using LSF sees the question and posts something useful.

You should re-check the SAS version you are using, 4.2 is ancient.

I'm not sure what is available for SAS 4.2 - but here is a list of resources to consult for more logging information:
* https://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/etlug/67323/HTML/default/viewer.htm#n0y99rj4jbymr1n12qm...
* https://go.documentation.sas.com/?cdcId=bicdc&cdcVersion=9.4&docsetId=bisag&docsetTarget=n0n7bzoqrxi...
* https://go.documentation.sas.com/?cdcId=pgmsascdc&cdcVersion=9.4_3.5&docsetId=logug&docsetTarget=n09...
* https://go.documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=etlug&docsetTarget=p13oqs170v1gp4n1mztp7wp6spmh.htm&docse...
* For LSF you can change logging levels in the lsb.params file (not sure which LSF version you are on) and here is a link on the different values: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSWRJV_10.1.0/lsf_admin/log_levels_descriptions_lsf.html

If nothing of this helps, then it would be helpful to provide more context on what you are trying to do. The OS you are on, which specific SAS and LSF Version you are on.

Kind Regards

Hi @DavidHD

thanks for the response.

I think that the second url link https://go.documentation.sas.com/?cdcId=bicdc&cdcVersion=9.4&docsetId=bisag&docsetTarget=n0n7bzoqrxi... is useful for me.

Probably if I modify appropriately the log configuration file "logconfig.xml" I get more detailed information setting it in DEBUG mode.

But is there documentation on how to modify correctly the file logconfig.xml?

Kind regards.

The SAS Logging Facility documentation (https://go.documentation.sas.com/?cdcId=pgmsascdc&cdcVersion=9.4_3.5&docsetId=logug&docsetTarget=n09...) should tell you what is in the logconfig.*.xml. You can think of it like log4j except for SAS instead of Java.

Thanks for the SAS Logging Facility documentation.
But after I modified the file logconfig.*.xml does need restart server process? Correct?

Correct
