Hello,
I don't think that wrs has been removed in m8. It's on Bi Porlets, BI Dashboard and Information delivery portal. As in other env migrated to m8 we can access wrs
@Akshay5 you are right: SAS Web Report Studio (WRS) is still available in M8.
https://documentation.sas.com/doc/en/pgmsascdc/9.4_3.5/whatsdiff/n134g1wgzeeptmn1n6b85l654pws.htm
However, the documentation shared by @SASKiwi is relevant as well. SAS Web Report Viewer (WRV) is a component of SAS Web Report Studio and that one is retired.
In the past I have seem similar issues as the one you indicate, although it was related to SAS Remote Services and a combination of factors (see https://support.sas.com/kb/52/057.html)
Please do note the documented remark in @SASKiwi link and this one: https://documentation.sas.com/doc/en/pgmsascdc/9.4_3.5/whatsdiff/n0th3gdqw6am1cn15ps9ai4xrn5a.htm
"A best practice is to unconfigure retired SAS products and features before you upgrade and to uninstall them after you upgrade".
Did you check all retired products and unconfigured them before the upgrade?
This can be a major cause for the effect you are facing. If you don't address it, you are facing the risk to have to remove all middle tier configuration and re-do it from scratch.
@JuanS_OCS Thank you for reply. Yes it was checked. We had only BI PORLETS, BI Dashboard and Information deleivery portal to retire as what appeated in he sas content assessmnet was the following: In the latest release of SAS 9.4, the following products are retired. The configurations for each of these products needs to be removed when adopting the latest release of SAS 9.4: SAS BI Portlets, SAS Information Delivery Portal
Hello,
Anyone having an idea on this type of issue?
Thanking you in advance
Hi @Akshay5 ,
it is a tough question for as long as you don't provide more information of your deployment, history, logs.
As I understand this is a lot of sharing, I would like to highly encourage you to reach out to SAS Technical Support, or to expert services at SAS or a SAS partner experienced in deployments.
The SAS Users Group for Administrators (SUGA) is open to all SAS administrators and architects who install, update, manage or maintain a SAS deployment.
