Hi All,
I'm installing base sas on local windows computer, I have two quick questions:
1) Is the SAS/GRAPH and SAS/GRAPH Control for ActiveX the same thing?
2) Usually what else should install with SAS base? I think I may include SAS/GRAPH and SAS/STAT
Is there any reference documentation about what should install for BASE SAS on local windows computer?
Thanks,
Jade
1. No
2. Is it a standalone Base installation or are you going to connect to a SAS server or different databases?
In general, I install everything we have a license for and isn't server side.
My installation - no server includes the following. Probably a bit of overkill, but we have one installation package for our 90% of our org.
---Base SAS Software
---SAS/STAT
---SAS/GRAPH
---SAS/ETS
---SAS/OR
---SAS/AF
---SAS/IML
---SAS/QC
---SAS/SHARE
---SAS/CONNECT
---SAS/SHARE*NET
---SAS/Secure 168-bit
---SAS/Secure Windows
---SAS Enterprise Guide
---SAS Bridge for ESRI
---OR OPT
---OR PRS
---OR IVS
---OR LSO
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to Oracle
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to Sybase
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to PC Files
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to OLE DB
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to Teradata
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to MySQL
---SAS/IML Studio
---SAS Workspace Server for Local Access
---High Performance Suite
Thank you, Reeza! @Reeza
What's the main functions that SAS users normally use for the SAS/STAT package?
Depends on subject area.
PROC REG or GLM are good ones to test.
When I worked in Cancer research it was PHREG/LIFETEST.
