Installing SAS 9.4 on windows 8.1

Tried to install SAS 9.3 also tried 9.4 on Windows 8.1 but after clicking the installer (setup.exe), got the following error:

The parameter is incorrect.

Never saw this kind of error before and no idea what is "the parameter".

Please help!

As you have an official version you can call TS for that.

There where some notes with updates to w8 did you have seen those?

What maintenance release of 9.4 did you try? Some of the earlier releases had issues.

I contacted SAS Tech Support and was asked to run Log Assistant...
