Hi everyone,
A Windows 7 Home Premium x64 user (French version), I used to have SAS 9.2+Enterprise Miner 4.3 installed on my computer without problem (Academic suite from my University). I have desintalled it before installing a more recent academical suite with SAS 9.3+EM7.1. I had no problem during the installation, Base SAS 9.3 runs just fine but when then 2 annoying things happened:
-I tried to launch EM 7.1 from SAS 9.3 but had the error "ERROR: This installation is licensed for Entreprise Miner for Desktop. Entreprise Miner 4.3 may not be used with this license. Enterprise Miner 5.2 or later should be used with this license."
-I then launched EM 7.1 Workstation independently but when I wanted to create a new project, entering project name and server directory, I received in Step 2 an error saying that either another programme is using this directory or SAS has no permission to modify the directory (which is strange because I am the Administrator and I allowed this precise directory to be accessed and modified completely by anything).
I am considerring two answers:
1/ There might be a conflict with former installed version 9.2 since there are still SAS 9.2 keys in my registry and given the nature of the errors
2/ Looking at OS compatibility (http://support.sas.com/resources/sysreq/hosts/pc/) and migration from 32 to 64 bits (http://support.sas.com/kb/44/168.html) I am afraid that I would have to install Windows 7 Pro (although this is strange since I could install and run Base SAS 9.3 and EM 7.1)
What do you think? Would you have any solution?
Thanks for your help!
