A SAS exit code of 1 means a warning was encountered and 2 is an error was encountered. In SAS you can set the exit code for the application so these can vary. Other return codes typically have an associated message in the log, with the exception perhaps of 104 and 105 that refer to an issue with the LOG path specified or LOGCONFIGLOC XML file syntax or the path it specifies, respectively.
