Hi All,

We have SAS Server 9.4 M2 in Production and Test environments (SAS Forecast Server 13.2).

Recently I have performed SAS Server upgrade to 9.4 M6(Forecast server 15.1) in test environment.

My client want to exactly check/compare the SAS Forecast Studio 13.2 project(Prod) in SAS Forecast Server 15.1(Test) before I upgrade Production environment.

How to migrate one or couple of SAS Forecast studio projects from 13.2(Prod) Server to 15.1(Test) Server to perform test?

Thank you,

Ram.

Hello @Ram4sas ,

good question. If you peek into the User Guide - https://documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=fsug&docsetTarget=p0aq89udrxmdqyn14l6tue99cuk5.htm&docsetVer...

it mentions

Before you can open a SAS Forecast Studio project from a previous release, your site administrator must migrate your project to the current environment. For more information about migrating projects, see the SAS Forecast Server: Migration Guide.

Which is this one:

You can find all the information here.

https://support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/forecast/14.1/fsmig.pdf

Once the project is migrated, do not forget to take these steps:

To update a SAS Forecast Studio project to the current release:
  1. Open the project in the current release of SAS Forecast Studio. The Update Project Version dialog box appears.
  2. Specify how to update the statistical models for each series.
  3. (Optional) Select the Reset all series to "automatic selection" check box.
  4. (Optional) Specify whether the project should use any updated data, if it is available. If you select the Use updated data if available check box, then SAS Forecast Studio determines whether the data source has been updated. If it has been updated, SAS Forecast Studio updates the project data and reforecasts the existing series based on the option that you selected.
  5. Click OK. SAS Forecast Studio automatically converts the project to be compatible with the current release.
