Folks,

I have SAS Base server installed and like to know how can I connect to SAS environment for developers.

As of now, I have to login remote windows server(2012 R2) by RDP and has to write/execute the sas programs on server itself. I need to connect from remote window client machine.

So is there any method to achieve so?

Thanks,

If you only have Base SAS installed, then you have neither SAS/CONNECT, nor Integration Technologies, nor any webapp that would allow another way to work with SAS.

Do you really only have Base licensed? Also check with your SAS representative.

Hello Kurt,

Yes as of now only Base SAS to execute the programs/macros created locally on server.

I will facilitate for the license required as going to setup new enviroment. And need to know what are the options to connect Base Server for SAS program execution for remote users?

Do any SAS clinet exists which can connect tto base sas server (after buying sas/connect license on server)?

Thanks,

SAS/CONNECT is a connection method between SAS processes, so you would need a local SAS installation.

Instead you should look into the licenses required to run SAS Studio.

Contact your SAS representative.

Yes. But you also need to re-install from a newly created SAS depot.
