Hi, looking to migrate some MO scenarios from the MO Standalone into SAS CI. Any suggestion on how this can be done.
thanks,
Alex
Have you explored the SAS Support Migration Focus Area?
http://support.sas.com/rnd/migration/index.html
If you search SAS Support for Enterprise Miner project migration you will find a lot of other resources also.
Thanks for the suggestion. Need something specific to SAS Marketing Optimization.
Hi Fatcat,
We tried to use SASuitl for SAS CI migration without success.
In the end, we manulaly created the CI business context and migrated the artifacts using SMC. This is MA part of CI.
Best,
Sai Korraptai
Hi Sai, yes, that's what we wanting to avoid.
You mentioned artifiacts, did you mean the constraints scenarios?
our challenge is the number of contraints per scenario. Felt like creating a scenario from scratch then a migration at this point.
tia,
Hi @fatcat,
you need to use the SMU tool (SAS Migration Utility) to migrate your environment and follow very precise steps, as defined on the Migration Guide for SAS Marketing Automation and Optimization.
You should have user and password for the documentation on your Instructions.html. If you don't, please contact SAS Technical Support, as described on http://support.sas.com/kb/53/758.html and https://support.sas.com/rnd/migration/planning/software/ma.html
The reason why the CI tools fail with a manual promotion, is because there are some tables with counts that get misaligned if doing on that way. They only way is SMU and CI tools asdescribed on the Migration Guide.
If you follow the steps, exactly, you can migrate with success.
I hope this may help you.
Best regards,
Juan
Thanks Juan. But the guide is not available from the link you provided.
As mentioned on the link and on my description, you will probably need to contact SAS Technical Support and request the Guide.
