GMS with sas grid

anybody,

 

Do we need to install GMS as part of brand new SAS grid installation ? GMS is only for scheduling purposes right ? if yes we are using third party scheduler enterprise level, we dont need it right ?

GMS is used to feed the SAS Grid Manager plug-in in SAS Management Console.  If you're not using that SASMC plug-in, you shouldn't have to install it.  Note that GMS is *not* used to feed information to the Grid Manager plug-in with the SAS Environment Manager Web application.
