Hi Guys,

SAS Metadata providers an abstraction of data, while is possible to use different data sources in your SAS E. Guide .

However, when I´m join a table from work and another table from a hive database, SAS Guide is in loop and my query is not finishing.

I´ve checked my hive database and query is finished. But, results are not processed in SAS guide. How to identify the error in platform SAS 9.4 ?

Did anyone see something like this ?

Thanks in advance,

Hi @BilaTheLegend

Have a look at this paper https://www.sas.com/content/dam/SAS/support/en/sas-global-forum-proceedings/2019/3626-2019.pdf for some solid advice,

then have a look at this page for other potential useful insights https://support.sas.com/en/documentation/third-party-software-reference/9-4/guides-papers-for-hadoop...

The other advice I can give you, Find a way to push down your WORK data set into Hadoop, and join the data in Hadoop before bringing back the result set to SAS -- This is way you'll only dealing with the join results

Hope this helps,

Ahmed
