Error while configuring metadata server during SAS 9.4 M8 to M9 upgrade

Hello SAS forum,

I have started the SAS upgrade from SAS 9.4 M8 to 9.4 M9. I 'm doing the metadata server (install & configure) but while doing the "configuration" part for Metadata . I got an error while it was trying to start the object spawner.  

error while configuring the metadata server the following problem was encountered while configuring sas object spawner: 

No Object Spawner listener was detected. Host=abcd.local.local. Port=8581.

I tried to start the Object spawner manually and it started just fine. No issues. I tried to retry the configuration and got the error - 

There was an error in attempting to start this host as the requested port

is already in use.

So i tried to stop the object spawner and again retried , and got the same error:  No Object Spawner listener was detected. Host=abcd.local.local. Port=8581.

So the script is having issues starting Object spawner or is it due to the ports or hostname  ? Any insights ?
