Environment Manager Agent Configuration - quesiton

Hello All,

I stumbled upon on this one.

we are doing 9.4 deploymnet 3 machine plan all on VMs

Step1 - Metadata

step2 - Compute

Step3 - MidTier

I started my deployment on Metadata server almost at the end, it is looking for Environmnet Manager Agent configuraiton.

it is looking for host name, with defaulted port numbers like (Http:7080) I can tell this well be URL for environmnet Manager.

My quesiton is : is this the host name be the metadata manger? or I need to Mid Tier host name? since we will have it seperate.

any thoughts? please advise.

I think I found my Answer this will be Mid tier Host Name for Agent.

Hi,

you are correct. Environment Manager runs on the middle tier. It deploys the environment manager agents on all of your machines, with the environment manager server component "sitting" on the middle tier machine.
