Do I need to install LSF client version on a machine in which I want to install standalone SAS EG to submit jobs to SAS grid?

Hello @SASWayne ,

it is not required, only when the user plans to submit jobs to the grid via SASGSUB https://documentation.sas.com/?docsetId=gridref&docsetTarget=n0dmh9glhm6k21n1pazpuckzt7rv.htm&docset..., and this can be done from the server as well, as I expect the servers will have the client already.

However, it is very important to have clear the requirements from your users, as in some cases some clients (not necessarily the PCs, imagine another server with R, Python etc), will submit jobs to the grid with SASGSUB.

Thanks JuanS_OCS! The requirement is to install standalone SAS EG alone. 🙂
