Hello @senu188,

%LSF_ENVDIR% is the directory for IBM LSF resource manager, meaning the one that will run the jobs managing the resources for them. LIM, RES, SDB and EGO are the services/daemons that run using this folder.

%JS_ENVDIR% is the directory for IBM LSF Process Manager, which is a job scheduler, the one that will trigger the execution of the flows/jobs, and those will run within LSF (see above). Process Manager (JS) is the service/daemon that will run on this folder.

Does it help?

Best regards,

Juan

Hi Juan,

Thanks for explanation. I am using windows server 2012 and installed the sas mangement console and IBM platform manger . Why we are defining different path for both installation ( %LSF_ENVDIR%, %JS_ENVDIR%). i have issue for last two days. i want to know it is network issue problem or platform manager issue, automatically it solves .

Oh, I see, it is Windows. Reasons could be several, starting from the windows registry, to the firewalls.

From your log I see:

Failed in sending lsinfo back to 10.50.8.47:51205

Failed in sending lsinfo back to 10.50.8.47:28799

I wonder if firewall is blocking connections or LIM is just not starting. This could be cause if the services are still pointing to the old path.

Perhaps you could consider to fully uninstall and reinstall + migrate LSF/JS items such as calendars and configuration variables?

Hi,

Thanks for explanation. sorry for disturbing you again for the asking questions . We should define different paths for both %LSF_ENVDIR%, %JS_ENVDIR%?
