Chris H's paper: Doing More with SAS® Enterprise Guide® Automation

Chris H. (le guru) wrote a paper for EG 7.x and that worked flawlessly, question, is this applicable for 8.x or is there an updated paper out there?  My attempts asking Uncle Google came up empty.
