Hi experts,

Anyone tried to access AWS Secret Manager from SAS Viya SPRE running on EKS for obtaining some secret value to be used in the SAS code?

Specifically, the secret value is a database password.

Thanks

I'm interested in doing the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Technolero ,

I found this https://docs.aws.amazon.com/eks/latest/userguide/manage-secrets.html

Have not tried it yet but it looks good to me 🙂

@EyalGonen Thank you! Very interesting. Since I made my last post, I think the team decided to integrate python into our deployment and interact with Secrets Manager that way.

Hi @Technolero

I found another possible solution for this, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EonWeoFPpvM

It uses a similar approach but not exactly the same.
