Hallo all,
We are using AMO 7.1.3 in the process of financial reporting. Every time we refresh data in an Excal sheet from the SAS environment, we have a formatting issue. We should present negative values as -xxx, but they are presented as (xxx). I have not found an obvious reason for this. Hence my question: where does AMO find the default formatting for its values? Or more general: what can cause these brackets to appear?
BTW: data is actually read from a VA report.

Hello @RuuddK ,
Are you using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office (AMO) that is provided with SAS Financial Management (SAS FM)?
One of the SAS Add-Ins for Microsoft Office applications that is contained within SAS FM, is the SAS Financial Management Add-In for Microsoft Excel.
Maybe it's the latter one that needs proper configuration for the negative numbers.
Let us know what SAS Software you are exactly using!
If you are using SAS FM indeed, then your preferred board should be:
Solutions > Risk and Fraud > Risk & Finance Analytics
rather than this Administration > Administration and Deployment board.
You can also turn to Technical Support in your country as I am not sure whether there are many SAS FM people visiting these communities.
Good luck,
Koen
Hallo Koen,
Thanks for the reaction. We are using the 'stand-alone' AMO that is packaged with EG. It is simply labeled SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office Version: 7.13 HF3 (7.100.3.5413) (32-bit).
Perhaps Tech. Support is where I 'll wind up asking this...

Hello Ruud,
AMO within Enterprise Guide 7.x (and SAS 9.4Mx) is pretty standard.
But also then, there's a better board than Admin & Deploy:
See the Solutions header and visit:
* Solutions > Business Intelligence > SAS Enterprise Guide OR
* Solutions > Business Intelligence > Integration with Microsoft Office.
I don't have the super-powers to move your topic (topic-thread) to one of the latter 2 boards, but if someone for whom this power is enabled, is reading this, please move this thread.
Thanks,
Koen
Thanks Koen!
