Hello Friends, We want to design WEB Application using SAS. Just wanted to understand do and don't . As currently we are using django framework but wanted to use power of SAS . Which all language is supported in SAS framework , if we need SAS Internet etc . If SAS supports rest API. Would appreciate any information .

Hi Sam, Thanks. But am using different parameter in VA designer(applies to different column) to get weighted value out of these . And these changes based on user choice . Thus can't move the logic to Data builder or ETL. Vivek

I have table like this : TABLE CLOSED COMMIT PIPELINE 100 50 10 . 60 70 50 . 100 I want to calculate another column total = closed+commit+pipeline in VA calculated items . How to deal with the missing values , do we have any functuion like "SUM" we have in SAS area to deal with missing value . Need output as : CLOSED COMMIT PIPELINE Total 100 50 10 160 . 60 70 130 50 . 100 150 I dont want to create another variable like if commit=. then 0 and use that . As in real scenario columns to add is much more that 3 and have multiple combination.

I have numeric column , applied custom formatted . When used in lattice column role ,I am unable to sort this column based on unformatted value. Have selected sort option "Unformatted" . Its always sorting based on character but not unformatted. In bar -chart it sorting correctly based on unformatted value.

Thanks for Information. But by refresh I was talking about refresh of metadata of data query i.e for example any change in label at source metadata should reflect in data query .Currently for existing column used in query it wont reflect but if we drag the same column after making change it reflect. Got information from other post that Query is stored both as metadata and in stored server. Also checked with SAS consultant , currently unfortunatley there is no way out to update/refresh query metadata programatically . Currently we are doing it manually comparing metadata for source and target and updating 'labels' in query manually to be in sync.

Thanks Madelyn information is really helpful . I was facing issue as I was upading source metadata but query doesn't adapt accordingly and was using old values (i.e label for existing column used in query) but new columns when used from same source table used latest updated metadata value (i.e label in this case). I could see Query stored as transformation object but was not able to trace other details . Thanks for information.

How data query is stored internally. Is this stored as metadata or stored as query/code at particular location?

I have created data query DQ1 in data builder using source table TAB1 and target table TAB2. Problem : If metadata of TAB1 is updated (exp labels are changed for few columns ) , data query DQ1 is not automaticaly refreshed/updated, it still uses old labels from the table. But if we delete that column from DQ and again add that column we get new label (need to re-login). How can we auto refresh data query in data builder , to have same metadata information as in source. Is there anyway ?
