I use the technique outlined by Stroup in 1999 and 2002 (ref below) to investigate power in mixed models. The ideas are based on non-centrality parameters computed from Proc Mixed or Glimmix results. I have a colleague using R and was curious if this technique has been ported to R (I am not an R coder by any means!). Thanks for any info you might have. Hello,          I have a large grid of x, y, z format data (800 x 800) . I need to interpolate unknown z values at pre selected (possibly random) x, y points that do not fall on the known x, y coordinates. As far as I can tell, g3grid, krig2d and sim2d will not do this (interpolate missing values). Is there any way to do this?   Alternatively, is there a way to overlay the unknown points on the known grid and select the nearest k neighbors to the unknown x,y, points? I am trying to create a plot using sgplot and scatter that will color code data points based on the value of an endogenous variable. I used to do this through SAS Insight, but that is gone.  I thought I could do it through attribute maps, but I am getting errors.  In the code below I am plotting 6 values (x,y pairs) color coding by the value of x.  Is there a better/easier way to do this.  Please excuse the rough state of the code.
