This is an old thread but I wonder if someone is watching and can help me clear up a few things. I too have a SAS server running on CentOS but the projects for users are on remote Windows SMB server. Users connect to SAS server from Windows 7 desktop. First question is that I am not sure how to mount the SMBs in the Linux server and make sure users connect to their assigned projects not someone else project. Let me rephrase my question, I have a Windows SMB server and my SAS application server is running on CentOS, I would like to mount the SMBs in Linux and protect the SMB shares with Kerberos. Do I need a third party software for SAS EG to access the Shares?
