Hi all, I am looking for an accurate test/ SAS procedure to detect trends over the years for an Incidence. I posted the same question earlier, and I got a reply about Kendal Tau b. Not sure if this is a correct method. Can anyone please guide me with this? I also used Cochran Armitage Trend Test. Results from Cochran Armitage Trend test are different from Kendal Tau b test. Is Kendal Tau b dependent on the number of observations rather than differences over the years? For Kendal Tau b I used the incidence rate. Hi all, I have 7 years data from 2004 to 2010 with Census Population and number of people diagnosed with a disease. I calculated Incidence per million. I need to calculate 95% CIs for the incidence and overall Annual Percentage Change (APC) with 95%CI. I know to calculate 95%CI for incidence using EpiInfo software and APC by hand calculation, but how do I get 95%CI for APC? I used the hand calculation of APC: (((3.96-6.88)/6.88)/7)*100 = -6.1% Number of years = 7; But I need the 95%CI for APC I would appreciate any help regarding this. Thank you! Sat

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I do have the "gold standard" as size of tumor (in centemeter). Tumor size is measured in centemeter for group 1, group 2 and for "gold standard".

Hi all! I have a data set with tumor sizes (in centemeter) measured by physicians for different patients. The data set is divided into two groups (randomized). So each patient is randomized to either group 1 or group 2. After the tumor size is predicted by the physician, it is compared to the gold standard (automated computer generated size). I need to determine which group has a better accuracy/ or prediction closer to gold standard. Can anyone suggest me a SAS procedure to compare two groups relative to the gold standard tumor size prediction? Thank you so much! Sat

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. However, I am looking to remove duplicates only for the same day and not for different days. Can you check the sample data I specified? Each Reg_No has unique procedure dates (with and without time) which I want to retain. Only if a Reg_No has duplicate entries on same day, I need to pick up the procedure dates qith specified time. Hi all, I have a dataset looking at orthopedic surgery procedures over time. Date of procedure is recorded as DATETIME20. I have some duplicate entries for same procedure on same date where some entries show datetime exactly (for eg. 10OCT2016 04:25:10) and some show just the date and 0 for time (for eg. 10OCT2016 00:00:00). FOr those with duplicate entries, I need to pick up the ones with exact date time (10OCT2016 04:25:10) and delete one with no time on it (10OCT2016 00:00:00). However, I have some observations with no duplicate entries on same date, but with date and 0 for time which I need to retain (for eg. 11OCT2016 00:00:00). I would appreciate if I can get help in removing duplicate entries for same day with 0 time value but retaining unique observations with date and 0 time value. ID variable: Reg_No Date of Surgery: PROCEDURE_DATE (datetime 20.) Here is the sample data from my study. I just want to remove the one I marked DELETE. Hi all, Thanks so much for helping me through some of the procedures. I have my data in excel and I am looking to plot baseline and end of training line graph for 7 characteristics of interest. I have 18 subjects so I need individual line graphs for each of the 18 subjects and the average (overall) baseline and end of training line graph. Of the 7 characteristics, I want to plot at least 3-4 in one graph and rest in other. Subject_ID - has individual IDs and Overall HRM- has my characteristics of interest Baseline- baseline value End- End of training value So I need 18 lines in different shade and overall (average) line in a darker or a thick shade. I have attached an example PPT of what I am looking for. So basically the goal of the graph is to show there is an upward trend/ improvement after the training. Any help with SAS code or references would be of great help. Thank you all, Sat

Accuracy was determined as the ratio of true predictions (sum of true positive and true negative) to all predictions (sum of false and false positives and negatives). (TP+TN)/ (TP+TN+FP+FN).

Hi Ballard, Thanks for the reply. I created the excel sheet with the required data. The data is about how trainee fellows report their findings compared to expert (gold standard). So I have these values for several variables (Variable). I need to find accuracy for different time points (baseline, 5, 10, 15, 20- highlighted in RED). I want to know if there is any significant different in accuracy% between different time points (baseline, 5, 10, 15, 20). I also highligthed a set of 4 values, where there were empty cells on 2x2 table (missing counts). I added 0.5 to each cell. Thanks for your help! Sat
