Graph output in SAS Report and HTML does not honor the stylesheet settings. Instead, the graph appearance is set when the graph is generated on the SAS server. You can influence the graph appearance by using color option on the graph (set the background color in an EG graph task, or use the GOPTIONS CBACK= option, for example). Phil, EG 4.1 can run with a SAS 8.2 server using the same mechanisms supported in EG 3 and EG 2. If the V8 machine is a different machine from where you are running EG, then yes, you need to run object spawner over there. You can set up the object spawner using the config file mechanism documented at: http://support.sas.com/rnd/itech/doc/admin/sasserver/iombridge/iom_config.html To tell EG about the server, you need to define a workspace server in metadata. You can use the EG repository for this -- that might be simpler if you just have one or two users and don't require additional SAS 9 servers. One potential issue: make sure that the information map "task" is running on the same logical server relative to the source data. Background: information maps contain source tables, and source tables are within SAS libraries, and SAS libraries are associated with a SAS server (for example, "SASMain"). The information map library engine (used by EG) performs best when run on the same server as where the source data libraries are defined. If you use a different server (for example, "Local"), your data must pass through an extra server connection. Sunil, Unfortunately, this is a limitation of the INFOMAPS library engine that won't be addressed until SAS 9.2. EG "promoted" the user/password values for the Information Map task to hidden parameters in the stored process. Doc, I saw your comment on the blog post and responded with the official company line about Vista support. But we're all friends here in this forum, right? So I can tell you a little more about what I know without implying any additional official support? I can say I have heard anecdotes from adventurous folks running EG 4.1 on this platform. What problems must they overcome? (I post these notes for those who are curious -- please don't take this information as a statement of official support. All such official statements are at http://support.sas.com/techsup/pcn/vista.html.) 1. System requirements: EG 4.1 requires .NET 1.1. On Vista the EG install doesn't detect its absence, so it must be installed manually. 2. Installation: Vista's user account control can sure get in the way. Those entertaining PC/Mac commercials ("Cancel or allow?") don't exaggerate much. 3. Some UI oddities -- strange UI appearance for some tasks -- but if you have the latest EG 4.1 hotfix, this shouldn't be an issue. Note that EG hotfixes are good for production EG, not for SAS Learning Edition. That's what I know. There may be additional issues that I don't know about; I'm speaking from our experience of creating a Vista-ready application for the SAS OnDemand environment and our work for EG 4.2, which has full support for Vista.
