D/All,   I got my EG upgraded from 4.1 to 7.1 and presently I'm facing a weird issue with the proc export. The issue is -   I have a dataset with all variables as Character type. (Even the numeric variables are in character format - Thats the requirement and I cannot change it back to number format). Some of the variable observations are NULL. Now when this dataset is exported into CSV format thru SAS EG 4.1 everything is good. The NULL values appear as NULL in CSV file but when exported with SAS EG 7.1 these NULL values are replaced with a period symbol ( . )   I tried using options missing = ''; but that only works on number variable. D/All, SAS programs when executed on SAS 9.1.3 produces a null for all missing value when exported to CSV where as SAS 9.4 produces a period ( . ) for all the missing values in the dataset. Is there a way to resolve this defect without changing the code. I have 5000+ source codes hence cannot take risk of updating all the codes. Experts request your advice. Thanks to everybody.. D/All, I'm in the process of migration of my SAS scripts from EG 4.1 to EG 7.1. In addition to that I will also be doing some parametrization of the input & output file paths (either shared folders, ftp folders, http links) in order to make changes in the script to point to QA and Prod environment.  Once the changes have been applied on the QA environment the SAS script will be executed and the log files has to be compared line by line across QA and Production. The problem is, I'm not sure if both versions of EG will produce exactly same lines of log text for a given SAS script. Hence even auto comparing the log files will not give me the desired output. Hence what I need is a script to which I can pass a source log file and a target log file. The script should read the log file and list down dataset name being called or new dataset created, record count read & written, time taken to read and write, identify the macro name in which the dataset was read or written (if possible). My expertise on SAS is very limited to few data & proc steps hence I have no clue as how to parse and generate the list. I would request the experts to help me in having such a script. D/All, I have a HTML report which has plenty of tables of different data structures reported. For some analysis i need to import this entire HTML file and create different sas datasets for each table output. Using XPATH i can get the the path for each table ex: html/body/table[1]   html/body/table[2] My query is how do I tell SAS the location from which it should import.
