It would be nice to have an inventory of your SAS artifacts and data, how many SAS environments and workspaces do you have, and what kind of company you are working on, since it policies can affect the timelines and kind of workloads.   - How many reports, stored processes, programs, EG projects, libraries, data connections/servers do you have? - How much data are we talking about? In disk and in memory - How many workspace servers per environment? - How many environments? - Do you work for banking, pharma, life sciences, or any other highly compliant and regulated type of company? - Who will do the migration, are those teams skilled enough?   This being said, you might want to look into the SAS Content Assessment tool. It will help a lot during this journey. Hello, The best thing you can do is to find out the Software Order or Software update emails. If you cannot find them, you can always run “proc setinit;run;” in the metadata and compute node, check the license(s) in your Metadata server, and find out by yourself. However, some third party products, such as IBM Platform Manager (also known as LSF and Process Manager), might require an extra license file starting with LSF instead of SAS, in case you have it licensed and installed. Hi @MariaD , if those settings were never there before, was the system upgraded to a new maintenance or applied some hotfixes? That can create differences.   If none of above happened, then I can agree that might not be related. But I don't think network is an issue, as it seems you are reaching our to the URL. But a corrupted content in the SAS Content Server, or changed permissions in the Content Server or Metadata, could cause this kind of unexpected errors. ... View more

Is this issue happening as well if the client is launched from the server as well?  Given the fact you can access the URL (but with a 500 http error) from the client, I would assume the result might be the same, but an extra check might help, because of the "Filter (ClientIpAddressFilter): filter is unavailable"    What is the WIP configuration for URL whitelists? In this case, the network range of the clients must be added (or just an *). Hi @MariaD ,   looking at the console log, I see that Miner has an issue fetching the WIP components. Then a bit earlier, I see it tries to contact  http://CO05SASAPP:9080/SASWIPClientAccess/remote/ServiceRegistry - can you reach this URL from a browser on a client? - why has this server been configured without FQDNs? Especially in the new Windows networks, by default no short names will work. If you want short names to work, it requires extra configurations on DNS and the GPOs for the windows clients. - Did you try the JNLI client (web)?   I hope this helps a bit.    Best regards, Juan   ... Hi @MariaD ,   thank you for your update! To me, this points to a very basic issue in the deployment. The Web Infrastructure Platform does not seem to be able to start, and this will cause your web applications to not start either. I would stop everything, clean the logs, start all the services, and look at the SASServerN_M log files the SAS Web Application logs - I would focus on the WIP services, such as SASLogon, SASWIP, etc etc, the gemfire, etc.   I would also check very well all system requirements, as this could well be caused by firewall restrictions, and/or DNS resolutions.If this the case, it could be a bit of a challenge for SAS Technical Support to find the specific missing requirement.
