Hi all. I am getting an error when I first open SAS:   ERROR: An internal error has occurred while reading a compressed file. Please ERROR: call your SAS Site Representative and report the following: compress ERROR: offset = 2269 , de-compress offset = 3010 , compress buf = " ERROR: 2FA4D236206CE554ABC755B9ASDASKDHASKJDHA344512C79CD7C" .   I googled the error message, and found solutions related to repairing datasets. But in this case, there is no dataset (that I'm aware of) as I am only opening SAS, not opening a program nor a dataset.   The message says to contact my site rep, and I have started up the long chain of communication to get that information (I am in a state health department), but was wondering if anyone had suggestions for what might help. Hello - I am currently using the following code to select specific records from a dataset where field "lab_test_accession_no" contain strings that I am specifying.  ------------- proc sql; create table check1 as select * from all.all_lab_lookup where upcase(lab_test_accession_no) contains 'ABC123' OR upcase(lab_test_accession_no) contains 'CNDJD2984' OR upcase(lab_test_accession_no) contains 'JDFDJF3445'; quit; ----------   My question is: is there a way, besides manually specifying 'ABC123', ''CNDJD2984', etc. within the "Where" section, that I can refer to a table (example of the table below) with a field containing those values? The reason I need an alternative to manual entry is that I am often searching for hundreds of these.     accession_number ABC123 CNDJD2984 JDFDJF3445 ASDASD2323 ASJHASJKDH32   --- Importantly, I am not looking for only exact matches which I know I can use the "in" operator for, but, want to select the records where the accession_number is contained somewhere within my "lab_test_accession_no" field.   Is there a way? Hello all. I am working with data similar to the following (this is the individual row level data with many other columns for a given lab test received): labname     received_date     Quest            2/1/17               Quest            2/4/17                  Quest            2/4/17 Labcorp         2/1/17 Labcorp        2/2/17   and I would like to produce a final summary table that looks like this, which includes rows for all days in a range, not only the days that had data associated with them for that lab, i.e.,   labname        date     count  Quest           2/1/17       1 Quest           2/2/17       0 Quest           2/3/17       0 Quest           2/4/17       2 Labcorp       2/1/17        1   Labcorp       2/2/17        1   Labcorp       2/3/17        0 Labcorp       2/4/17        0 ...   I am able to get the counts in a table from proc freq where there were records for a given lab on a particular day. But I would like to produce the final table/report to include all days within a range, so that we can look at the report and see when there were no records sent on particular days.   I am not sure how to approach this. Something in my brain says I could create a separate table of all dates of interest, then somehow join or merge to have them included in the data, but I don't know how to do that nor am I sure that's the path to go down.   Any ideas are appreciated, thank you. ... Greetings all, dataset: patient  value 1          99 1          100 2          300 2          200 2          100 3          500 3          200 would like to get the following, using proc sql: patient   value 1           100 2           300 3           500 Normally if I wanted to do this, I would use proc sort by patient then descending value, then use a "if first.patient" then output, in order to get the max value.
