Can anyone assist me with this? Below is an example of how I would like the data to look. If the complete data were represented there would be several other Id's and the other flag columns would have flags. I may not be explaining this correctly I apologize. Looking at the example below I want to make sure that for a id it only flags one category. If I have id 5(pictured below) and it flags in more than one category then i would like to create a check that would alert me to that. obs id reg_date startdate enddate extdate withinyr withingrace outsidetimeframe 1 5 7/1/2017 7/31/2016 7/3/2017 8/31/2018 1 1 .

I just wanna make sure that if a ID is counted in withinyr then it is not also counted as withingrace. I just want to make sure that a id is not counted in more than one category.

I ran the code and did not receive any errors in the log but the values were extdt are all missing.

SAS will not allow me to merge all three datasets at one time. I get the error that dataset 3 does not have a birdtype variable.

Dataset one and two must be combined by the birdtype and monyear and dataset three does not have a birdtype column so when I tried using the code below it does not work. data want; merge data1 data2 data3; by birdtype monyear; run; Any suggestions on how I can merge all three datasets in one step?

It is 365 days plus 90 days. The enter date is based on the time the data is complied. The data is compiled on the last day of every month. The regdate should not be aligned to the end of the month. I would like to use binary variables and use your suggestion of "taking the mean of them you get the percentage of success without needing any additional calculations so it could make your process easier. But maybe do this process using the month variables. I provided a sample below of what I think the output should look like M1-M13 represent months 1-13. I am open to suggestions on how the output should look because I'm really would like to simplify my process and make my code more efficient.
