Now i would like to get results by specimen. for example a patient had 3 different tests of those three tests how many results are positive and positive from what specimen. Please help

Yes, I want unique patient visits. May be transpose is what I need. I need to merge this data set with another data set. The data set i am working has 25317 observations, these are tests done over 28 months. I think there are about 12681 unique patients visits. specimen id is unique, but patient id and test date are repeated. Hi, I have a data set with 25000 tests records but they are 12681 unique patient visits. I have spec Id that is unique to each test, spec collect date that repeats because same patient can have multiple test on the same date. and patient id is also repeated. other variables I have are test type (only two categories) and result. I also created an unique id from dob and visit date.
