Wow, this seems to be working, apart from one small issue which I did not specify, when I add the new observation, I want to delete the other two I used for averaging, or at least the one larger than 730. But in addition, I have one tiny request. Can you generally explain what you did ? I can see that it's working, but I don't understand what it does. This is a very nice code, not long, yet sophisticated. I would have never thought of it myself. Thank you, I am amazed how easy that was for you.

If I had 730 days in this data, I want to delete all observations with time larger than 730 (so 730 remains the largest one). If I don't have 730 days (like in this example), I want to take the survival time of the two closest observations (in this case 639 and 792 days - note: it has to be one of each side of 730) and average them: (0.57+0.54)/2, and then I wish to add an observation: 730, 0.555.

Hello all, I am facing a tricky operation. To simplify, let's say I have a dataset with 3 columns: Scenario (getting values 1-4), time, and survival. Where time and survival are a result of the lifetest procedure (survival analysis). For each scenario, I ran the lifetest procedure and sent the results to output. In addition, I have a specified time point, for example, 730 days (two years, my time is in days). I want to do the following thing. I want to cut the data and to keep only the time points up to 730 days. But not so simply. If I have the exact number (730) in the data, I wish to simply take only observations smaller or equal to it. If I don't (this is the tricky part), I wish the take the closest observations below, and the closest obsetvation above (I mean the survival value), to average them, and to add a new observation, with time=730 and survival = the averaged value. I have no idea how to do it, can you please assist me ? Many thanks in advance !

Hello all, I am trying to calculate the power for a trial which will be analyzed using survival analysis. In order to do so, I have data from a previous study. I ran PROC LIFETEST and got the table of "Product-Limit Survival Estimates". I saved the estimated into a SAS Dataset, and let's assume that now I have a dataset with two columns: time point and probability. Plotting these columns gives the survival curve. What I want to do, is to smooth the curve, and then to choose points from this curve (every fifth point, or every tenth point, etc...), and to enter these points to PROC POWER as input. Smoothing can be done using PROC LOESS. What I wante to ask, is how can I save "predictions" from a smoothed curve ? In other words, let's say I managed to smooth the curve, and that I want the predicted value of time = 10, 20, 30, 40. How can I get this from SAS ? Thank you in advance !

And, i want to keep the group of course. Test1 is normal if it is within Test1_L and Test1_H, and so on. I tried looking, couldn't find what I need.

Hello all, I have a taks to perform, and the only thing I managed to get working, is long and unefficient. I have a datase with clinical laboratory results, along with reference values, the data has the following variables: Subject ID Visit (ranging from 1-4, i.e. each subject has up to 4 rows in this data) Treatment group (1/0) Test 1 (Numeric) Test 2 (Numeric) Test 3 (Numeric) Test 1 Low reference value (numeric) Test 1 High reference value (numeric) Test 2 Low reference value (numeric) Test 2 High reference value (numeric) Test 3 Low reference value (numeric) Test 3 High reference value (numeric) My final goal is to present descriptive statistics for the numeric tests and frequency distributions of the tests within range. I want to do the analysis with the "by" statment, to save code (write it once). My problem is to bring the data to the shape I need. I do not want to calculate the within normal range variable 3 times, I want it only once, but I can't seem to manage that. So I did it "widthly" which means copy+paste. The if statment is long (4 conditions) and copying it 3 times (what if I'll have 13?) is prone to bugs. How can I create a data, with each row corresponding to a subject*visit*treatment*test, with the normality status matching the right test? Thank you in advance ! Comment: Clearly I can't add data, but feel free to type any numbers you wish, the principle matters, not the numbers.

The graph is very "crowded", it is difficult to distinguish between subjects, however I still find it informative. I have another question. I used the refline for the horizontal lines. The values of the y-axis for the lines are stored in macro variables, and have many decimal digits. I wish to maintain the level of accuracy, but to present a shorter number on the graph itself. My current line is: refline &Lower &Upper / axis = y lineattrs = (color = red pattern = 2 thickness = 3) label=("Lower Limit = &&Lower" "Upper Limit = &&Upper") ; Instead of having for example 3.234756576 printed on the graph, I wish to see 3.235, without rounding before plotting. Is it possible ?

The colors are different. Now I ran the full data, and the markers started to change (probably only after the colors were over). It is a sort of repeated measures, it's bland and altman plot.

I ran your code on a small sample of the subjects, and the markers are all circles. Will SAS automatically change a marker when it runs out of colors ?

It is one indeed. I am using SAS 9.4. I do not have data I can share. The values of Method1 and Method2 are somewhere between 6 and 20, with good correlation between the two.

Hello all, I have a relatively simple dataset, with 3 variables: SubjectID, Method1, Method2, where Method1 and Method2 are continuous. I wish to plot something similar to the Bland-Altman plot, only that my agreement limits will be calculated in somewhat a different way. However the plot should be similar and should look roughly like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bland%E2%80%93Altman_plot#/media/File:Bland-Alman_Plot_with_CI%27s_on_LOA.png Assuming that I have calculated the mean (red line) and two limits (blue lines), I can either merge them into to the data or store them into macro variables using SQL or other way. My question is however about the graph. In the x-axis I will put the mean of Method1 and Method2, and in the y-axis the diff between Method2 and Method1. I have 60 subjects, with repeated measurements for each, giving a total of thousands of data points. I am not sure how to make this graph clear. I thouhgt, for each subject, to plot all his/her points in a different combination of color and marker. I wanted to ask you how do I tell SAS to create a unique combination ? How do I put a legend below the graph, in a way that doesn't disturb? Does anyone has a better idea how to plot this graph? I wish to use sgplots, to get the best quality plot I can, is it correct that I need to use refline once to create all 3 lines ? Thank you in advance !

Hello all, I have a dataset of subjects and their covariates, over time (for each subject I have multiple rows representing multiple time points). I wish to perform a bootstraping with replacement, i.e., if my current N is 20 subjects, I wish to create a file of 100 subjects, while keeping all their characteristics. This data will then be used in some model. Since modelling is the purpose, I need to get a column of unique ID's. Example: If subject #1 is chosen 3 times (and I have 5 time points), then I will have 15 rows with ID = 1, while I need 3 times 5 rows with uniqe ID's, such as 1a, 1b and 1c (of course the coding is not important to me, it can be anything). My current code is: proc surveyselect data = original_data method = urs sampsize = 100 rep = 1 seed = 12345 out = Sample_WR; id _all_; samplingunit ID; run; I tried looking at the help of the procedure but didn't find it. How do I keep unique ID's of my samples, rather than my subject ID's ? What I basically need is a column counting the samples: sample1, sample2, ....sample100. Thank you !

I have an idea. Can I save the number of times each subject is selected, and then build different datsets for subjects with number of hits of up to 1, up to 2, etc... and then append these datasets ?

No. I have too many variables per visit (10 variables * 5 visits will give 50 variables wide).
