I have to do the calculations individually in the sense that the dataset is not processed already. I've omitted some datasteps from below and have just shown the ones where we subset the datasets for given periods.

Folks I need to create some summary monthly statistics for the same procedure each month. Start_date and end_date will always be the first of the given month and last of the given month. While end_date1 will be the last day of the previous month. Folks, I have a Json file which I need to create a SAS dataset with. To begin I've used R to separate the Json file into four different datasets and I have exported them out into a .sav file. I am then reading the .sav file into SAS using the proc import command. However, after the proc import command is run all the variables are being read in as numeric. For example a variable called. additionalProp1 has a value called 'string'. In the SAS dataset this is being read as numeric. Does anyone know why SAS is reading all variables in as numeric? Is it something to do with the structure of the .sav file? Any information would be great.

I'm just wondering how would I amend the having part of this sql query if I wanted to output if either value had a string called 'YES' proc sql; create table previous_LPT_return as select * from Stage_2_LPT group by id_document having value='YES'; quit; The above example I've posted seems to only omit all the yes strings

Folks, I have a dataset of ids and numeric values. I would like to output two datasets. The first is any id's where either id number has a value greater than zero. The second is a dataset where either id is only 0. See below for example; data have; input id $ value ; datalines; 1 0 2 1 2 0 3 0 3 10 4 11 4 15 5 0 5 0 ;run; data want_1; input id $ value ; datalines; 2 1 2 0 3 0 3 10 4 11 4 15 ;run; data want_2; input id $ value ; datalines; 1 0 5 0 5 0 ;run;

While not in the example above the strings I'm working on will all be length 13 and alphanumeric. They always end with a letter.

I just have a follow up query here. While this code works perfectly I'm running into memory issues. My relationship dataset has circa 12,000,000 observations. When I run the code on my dataset the program eventually bombs out due to memory issues. Is there anyway to resolve this or provide a solution?
