I was thinking that a "Run to Selected Node(s)" feature in SAS Enterprise Guide would be an amazing feature just like in SAS Data Integration Studio.

The time that I would gain in not having to select all the nodes/task that need to run before a specific node/task in huge process flows would be tremendous... bringing my efficiency level to the top :-).

What do you think about this new feature? A must have or not?

You mean that, once a process flow has been defined, and I right-click on the n-th node, I would get an option to run the whole process from beginning up to that node?

I second this request, Danny. Would be a great timesaver and prevent human errors (especially in my case Smiley Wink). I use the equivalent command in DI more often than the "run from here" button.

Indeed Kurt! It is a simple feature which is in DI Studio for a long time and honestly it is hard to understand why EG doesn't have it yet.

Indeed Jan! Also in DI Studio I barely use the run from here button.... The run to button much more!

OK, seconded.

Status changed to: Not Planned

At this point, competing features have priority for our development resources so we are going to mark this one Not Planned. We will keep an eye on this and may revisit if circumstances change. Thank you for the suggestion!

We are now re-considering and hope to add this feature in a future release.

I was just about to post this as a "Run Branch to..." option, as opposed to the current "Run Branch from..." when you right click on a query builder.
