Save on cloud costs with scheduled node shutdown/startup
We heard your feedback about cloud costs and are excited to announce that AWS customers can now reduce their monthly bills by scheduling when nodes are online/offline. Administrators simply need to follow a few quick steps. SAS provides a script that enables you to specify the cluster and the times for shutdown and startup: SAS Documentation and GIT Script.
Keep in mind that workbenches will not be available when the nodes are offline, so proceed with caution by considering user needs before defining a cost-controlled schedule.
