Check out these new features and what they mean for you.
Product: SAS Information Governance
New feature: Semantic type remediation and catalog REST APIs
Description: Learn how to update and modify semantic type remediation, whether an out-of-the-box user or user modified in SAS Information Catalog. Plus get up to speed on catalog REST APIs, now publicly available through GitHub, that allow users to integrate metadata with third-party systems.
Product: SAS for Microsoft 365
New feature: Report distribution in Teams
Description: SAS Visual Analytics users can now schedule reports to be distributed directly to a Microsoft Teams channel.
SPOTLIGHT USE CASE
Report distribution in Teams
Distributing a report from SAS Visual Analytics using Microsoft Teams is a great way to share critical information with stakeholders by allowing them to access insights where they're spending time working. Simply build your report and schedule it to be shared with the person, group or Teams channel of your choosing every day, every week or whenever you need.
If you were building a report that tracked company revenue, for example, and it needed to be shared with sales leaders once a week, sharing via Teams would be an easy way to keep your audience informed and start a conversation about the results without having a meeting or taking the resources to build an always-on portal.
TIP OF THE MONTH
Brought to you by David Weik
Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Architect, SAS
I just discovered this neat little feature in SAS Studio where you can group programs, flows, tables, etc., into vertical tab groups. This allows you to see the data and code side by side.
