It’s that time again… the show goes on as SAS continues to innovate and bring even more value to you the customer. So, settle in, grab a drink, and prepare for the RUNDOWN in this month's SAS Viya Release Highlights video:

The April show covers updates in SAS Viya 2020.1.4, including how to catch outliers in your data, use new methods to deploy text analytics models, transfer chatbots across environments, and use a graph database for metadata repository.  We’ll also take an in-depth look at SAS Studio Analyst and its ability to import SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) projects, as well as use a point and click interface or an expression builder for filtering rows in a flow – in addition to hearing about what’s coming soon.

Here’s what you’ll learn about in the Rundown:

SAS Visual Analytics:

What’s SAS Visual Analytics without strong data prep? This release includes the ability to catch outliers in your data with automated anomaly detection. Plus,  new languages are now available for natural language automated explanation: Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Dutch.

SAS Information Governance:

This new offering from SAS continues to wow customers… and this release won’t disappoint. You wanted them… you asked for them… and SAS delivered. With SAS Information Governance, these new features are now available. Search and discover data assets using ElasticSearch, Natural Language & Advanced Search, a graph database for metadata repository, data profiling, semantic type inference, metadata measures descriptive measures, data quality measures and column level graphs.

SAS Visual Forecasting:

Just when you thought it couldn’t get more amazing… enter the latest release of SAS Visual Forecasting. This release adds Mann-Kendall (MK) and seasonal MK tests for detecting monotonic trend in time series data. Also, enhancements to Interactive Modeling provide log information when there is a failure, and reference axes and labels make thumbnail plots more readable.

SAS Visual Text Analytics:

What… even more this month? That’s right!! You now have new ways to deploy text analytics models! Use REST APIs to embed categories and concepts models in web applications for real-time, on-demand analysis. You can use this to address customer feedback or provide customized marketing online offers in real-time. This release also includes two new programming actions for better pre-processing of your text data.

SAS Conversation Designer:

Chatbots aren’t very interesting … said nobody ever. With this update, it’s easier to transfer chatbots across environments. You now have more flexibility in exporting chatbots from development to production environments.

And if the above wasn’t enough… in this month’s video, we have an in-depth Release Talk with Amy Peters, Principal Product Manager for SAS Studio. Amy will talk to our very own Anna Brown, provide a demo, and well... you will have to watch to find out!

These are just a few of our favorite new features in SAS Viya 2020.1.4. Weve made enhancements to several other products, beyond what’s listed here. For more information on what’s new in SAS Viyaclick here and check out other learning and support resources
