how to migrates 1000's of sas code to python ? What are the pre-requisites required . Chat gpt % ?

1. Do you want code efficiency or just working code?
2. If #1 you can use an AI assistant for programming specifically, not generic ChatGPT.
3. If you want efficient code, hire a programmer to do the conversion and remove report redundancies and develop an efficient process. This is time intensive and expensive. Currently sort of doing this for different systems (Oracle Reports to PowerBI) and it's a lot of work.

Generally it is best to have programmers experienced in both languages rewrite code paying close attention to requirements documents.

 

Considering other questions on this forum where people have attempted to use Chatgpt to write code for SAS, I don't think you'll save much time over rewriting.
