hello,

i have a column with type  numeric , how can i change the type to character or alphanumeric ?

I think the CAS thing will run regular SAS code:

 


data table1;
   input mynumvar 1.;
datalines;
1

run;
*mynumvar is numeric- best 12;

data table1;
	set table1;
	mynumvar_hold = put(mynumvar,1.);
	drop mynumvar;
	rename mynumvar_hold = mynumvar;
	label mynumvar_hold = 'mynumvar';
run;
*mynumvar is character $1;
