Hi everyone,

I am struggling with a SAS Studio code for a repeated measures analysis.

I measured the respiration rate of two potato cultivars in two different years stored at three temperatures. The potato samples were evaluated 9 times during the storage period.

Could you please help me with this code?

Thank you!

Dear Kurt,

Thank you very much for your response.

I am glad to provide some input data. I want to see the effects of years (harvest seasons), cultivars, storage temperatures, over time (storage). For some variables, I commonly use a factorial design as they are destructive, but for others (weight loss, respiration), I use the same samples with repeated evaluations over time in storage.

Cheers

The data seems to me to lack a subject variable that identifies the experimental unit. If this is a repeated measures data, then what variable identifies the experimental unit that repeated measures were obtained? You might need to add that variable in the data set.

Thanks,

Jill

Hi Jill,

Thank you for your response.

The respiration rate (Resp) was measured repeatedly by Days. Thus, Days are the designation for the repeated evaluations.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

Any suggestions regarding this data?

Thank you!

You need a variable to identify the subjects. See this example SAS Help Center: Repeated Measures.

Person is the subject, it is the experimental unit of the repeated measures. What is the equivalent in your data?

Thanks,

Jill

Hi,

The respiration (Resp) is the subject.

Thank you!

Resp is your response variable, not the subject variable, as far as I can tell.

Respiration will vary according to the Year (Year), Cultivar (CV), Storage Temperature (Temp), and time in storage (repeated measures - Days.

Thank you!

Hi,

I have another dataset in a different format.

Cheers

What is ANOVA?

ANOVA, or Analysis Of Variance, is used to compare the averages or means of two or more populations to better understand how they differ. Watch this tutorial for more.
