Dear all,

I'm new to SAS CDI and I am implementing my first jobs to map SDTM domains.

I have seen that, among the transformations that I'm including by now, I can introduce expressions to operate with variable values on Create Tables, Join (Select), Subject Sequence Generator and Table Loader transformations.

I have notice that when I write an expression without specifiying the library, once that I press enter to save the expression, the library name is automatically included everytime a variable is mentioned in the expression.

However, sometimes, and specially with Subject Sequence Generator and Table Loader transformations, when I introduce a modification on a previously run sequence, the library is not autocompleted and the expression is not applied (the code runs as I hadn't changed anything and the previous output appears). I don't know if it is due to the type of transformation or if it's related with the fact that normally these transformations are the final ones of the job. Maybe is good practice to implement expressions in other transformations, but in this case I needed to do it right before the end.

I think it may not be related with the specific expression that I'm using (all are valid according to the option of the advance menu 'Validate Expression') as in one case I'm just assigning a new plain text like this:

errorCDI.PNG

and it's not working either.

I would like to understand why this is happening and if there is a way to avoid it other than including an extra Create Table step or similar towards the end just to perform these operations in variables.
