Hi Experts,
I have columns in a large database which have values like:
Column-        Values available
name    -        name, name*
sid        -          id*, id
score   -      good, good*

How do I fetch the values without the asterisk(*) at the end in proc sql or data step?
I just need name/id/good values( eg; not name*/id*/score*)

~~~
proc sql;
create table fetch as
select name from A where name ...(???)
;quit;
I appreciate your help on this.
Thank you.
