Also have a look at https://sourceforge.net/projects/eslink/ (Eclipse plugin for SAS). Latest update from 2013, though.

If someone managed to create an Eclipse plugin that works over the IOM bridge that EG and Studio use, that would be a feat. Especially for people like me where the version control also runs through Eclipse.
