In its predecessor product, SAS Enterprise Miner, there was the possibility to create Custom Nodes with user-defined code, custom properties, and tailored functionality.
In SAS Viya Model Studio, although we can use the SAS Code Node, repeatedly copying the same code across projects is not a sustainable solution. I am aware of customers (including banks) who developed many own nodes in SAS Enterprise Miner to support specific requirements in a standardized and reusable way.
This capability is still missing in SAS Viya Model Studio.
