I have a table with variables for state, year, and and a single variable for the tax rate in that state. I would like to reorganize the data so that the state variable is removed, and instead there is a variable for the year, and 50 new variables, one for each state. Every record under the states would show the tax rate for that combination of state and year. However, I am fairly new to SAS and don't have a good idea as to if/how this should be done.

Any suggestions?
