Is it possible to raise a dbevent in SAS?
Normally the code would be something like this in Ingres:
raise dbevent test
and it would trigger the processing of data within Ingres.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
Using the documentation provided by FriedEgg, the following works
proc sql;
connect to odbc (dsn=*****82);
execute (raise dbevent test) by odbc;
disconnect from odbc;
quit;
Yes, you need to use the SQL Pass-Through facility.
Assuming you have SAS/ACCESS for CA-OpenIngres you can reference the following documentation: https://ciser.cornell.edu/sasdoc/saspdf/accoping/c01.pdf
