I'm using 9.2, and am trying to implement the Weather service example in the documentation listed above. Failing that, I did a search of the Knowledge Base and tried to do the simpler version of the same call from Dan Jahn's paper "Using SAS BI Web Services and PROC SOAP in a Service-Oriented Architecture" (paper 310-2008).


I know I have lots to learn, but here's the critical questions right now:


1) How can I get more debugging information than just this?

NOTE: PROCEDURE SOAP used (Total process time):
real time 2.05 seconds
cpu time 0.01 seconds

NOTE: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of errors.
---------------

2) Can anyone point me to other documentation that'll help spell out what's going on (to help me troubleshoot and interpret what's happening and not happening)?

Your XML output will contain additional information (reference the OUT= parameter fileref), I expect. You may also want to run PROC JAVAINFO; to verify your environment is functioning correctly.
