Im trying to create a new data set from an old one only using specific variables.
data confsemi;
set nba1996_krcadin2_new;
if tmID NE 'SEA' or 'HOU' then delete;
run;
However when i get my results only SEA shows up. In the log it claims that 'HOU' is a numeric value and therefore ignores it. Any suggestions??
This is not correct syntax:
if tmID NE 'SEA' or 'HOU' then delete;
SAS see's the following instead:
if (tmID NE 'SEA') or 'HOU' then delete;
Use IN
if tmID not in ('SEA', 'HOU') then delete;
