SAS Viya Workbench is a new offering from SAS, a cloud-native SAS experience that allows users to create workspaces on demand. Coders and developers can use the same SAS they know and love in the cloud, alongside a Python installation that provides the option to use the right tool for the job – all in a self-service platform in the cloud. We will share our journey as one of the earlier SAS Viya Workbench adopters, from accepting the offer on the AWS Marketplace to filling out the CloudFormation template and customizing the installation to fit our needs. We'll also share the first experiences we had as users of Viya Workbench, as both SAS and Python users, and some tips for getting the most out of SAS Viya Workbench.
