This session introduces hybrid quantum computing using neutral-atom hardware from QuEra Computing and shows how it can be combined with SAS workflows for real-world analytics. The presentation covers the basics of neutral-atom quantum computing, then focuses on quantum reservoir computing (QRC)—a hybrid approach where quantum transforms data into a richer feature space and classical machine learning models are trained on the resulting outputs. The speakers show how this process can be integrated into SAS, including SAS Studio and SAS Model Studio, so users can work with quantum-enhanced features alongside familiar classical modeling workflows. The overall message is that the near-term value of quantum is in hybrid use cases, especially where quantum and classical systems are used together rather than separately.
