Today, generation of the protocol and related documents, the foundation of clinical trial operations, is costly and inefficient due to redundant workflows, disparate input sources, subjective decisions, inconsistent formats, and cumbersome collaboration. Leveraging SAS Viya’s AI features and integrating with Azure OpenAI, we provided a unified protocol search, analysis, simulation, and generation framework by implementing state of the art methods such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to significantly reduce hallucinations and improve accuracy. This work illustrates the importance and advantages of capitalizing on a robust, governed, and integrated analytics platform like SAS Viya.
